Miroku Bosatsu and the Star of Life
Miroku / The Star of Life
A light that gently changes
the future.
A light that gently changes
the future.
The beautifully luminous sphere is a fertilized egg, the beginning of our lives. Over its radiant form, we have placed the bonji syllable Yu, representing Miroku Bosatsu (Maitreya).
Within this small light, we see possibilities opening toward the future. This work invites us to turn toward the irreplaceable life within ourselves.
The radiance of this tiny fertilized egg
seems to embody that hope.
Though it may be small and quiet,
a presence that says nothing yet,
the power to gently change the future
is already alive within it.
